The Prep Cook is responsible for properly preparing all food, maintaining quality control, sanitizing workstations, following all procedures and recipes, receiving inventories, and more. Food Safety and Sanitation Training is required upon hire.Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. This includes competitive compensation starting at $25.00 per hour.Our team has made a conscious effort to ensure strong protocols are in place to keep you and our patrons safe, so you can focus on the customer experience, camaraderie, and dining room management.Responsibilities• Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation• Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring freshness of product daily• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart• Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking• Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling, and kneading of food products• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products• Receives and inventories food and beverage product and supplies• Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment• Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by Chef or Department ManagerEducation and Experience Requirements• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (i.e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)• Food Safety and Sanitation TrainingWorking Conditions• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, listens, tastes, and smells• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather• Noise level is moderateAbout Shell Bay Club:Brought to life by Auberge Resorts Collection, at Shell Bay Club every moment is thoughtful and every need is anticipated, with careful attention to detail and service tailored especially for every single club member and their guest.
