Troon is Hiring a Manager, Operations & Business Development Near Irvine, CA

Manager, Operations & Business Development is based in Troon’s Irvine, California Office and works closely with the Operations Team to achieve corporate initiatives and results described in Club operating plans pertaining to member and guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and financial predictability. Common deliverables produced in this role include creating dashboards, financial charts, and high-level summaries that are share-worthy and client-facing. In addition, this person works with the Business Development Team to research prospective clients, qualify leads, provide marketing support and generate opportunities in the form of management agreements, leases, strategic partnerships, and advisory services. 

$70,000-$80,000

OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Author annual and semi-annual Troon value reports, describing value and expense savings to clients
  • Track Troon Privé Privilege and Troon Advantage rounds for participating clubs
  • Create project-based spreadsheets that forecast financials relative to new club initiatives
  • Create presentations for membership, guest, employee and owner survey results
  • Other duties as assigned that track, present, model and/or describe various benefits of the Troon value proposition for maximum client retention and satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for relations with the office management team, office vendor relations, office suite needs, and IT-related needs

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research clubs that could be prospects for Troon management or lease opportunities
  • Discover contact information for targeted opportunities and compile it into CRM tools
  • Proactively contact qualified prospects in an effort to generate new leads
  • Communicate with prospective clients, including lending institutions, developers, individual course owners, municipalities, strategic partnership candidates, and other prospects, to evaluate their needs and determine if they could be a fit for Troon
  • Assist with the preparation of RFP responses, proposals, and presentations
  • Analyze and summarize the competitive golf markets for Troon prospects utilizing demographic software, internet research, and other available resources
  • Analyze prospects' financial statements, including data on rounds, revenue streams, profit centers, departmental expenses, debt structure, leases, and cash flows
  • Work within CRM tools to accurately track opportunities throughout the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with Troon’s Marketing Team on initiatives to generate awareness and leads
  • Update successful case studies and important tools for the team to use with prospects
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Business Development Team

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well-organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills
  • Must be proficient with technology, including the use of CRM tools (i.e., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Outlook, and other systems
  • Previous golf industry, hospitality, and management company experience is a plus
