ROLE
The Maintenance Tech work hands on at the shopping center to maximizing the customers shopping experience to ensure a clean, well maintained, safe, friendly, and aesthetically pleasing environment while ensuring implementation of all company standards. The Maintenance Tech will report directly to the Lead Maintenance Tech.

Responsibilities include day-to-day facilities operations including preventative maintenance tasks, assisting with all building components (including HVAC, plumbing, Fire/Life Safety, and electrical systems), maintaining the aesthetic of the center, and maximizing the customer experience. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for all physical facilities at this location and delivers service levels appropriate for a class A shopping center. The position is one of a hands-on nature with the candidate expected to work directly on corrections to the asset.

RESPONSBILITIES

• Support programs and procedures to maintain the facility’s appearance and operation.
• Maintain and repair facility maintenance shop equipment.
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, plumbing and electricity
• Ability to work in a partially controlled environment (temperature, duct, wind, etc.)
• Ability to complete multiple task and projects daily in a fast pace environment.
• Painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings
• Minor roof repairs
• Participates in HVAC maintenance/repair.
• Minor electrical maintenance/repair
• Minor plumbing maintenance/repair
• Available after hour’s for emergency maintenance
• Assist with snow removal as needed.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, power washer, snow blowers, trucks, and ladders
• Maintain common areas of the property.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all tenants and coworkers while working in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years’ experience in general facility maintenance
• 2 years repair/maintenance experience with commercial HVAC, plumbing and electric equipment and systems.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

SKILLS

• Strong working knowledge of maintenance and operational functions required
• Problem solver – ability to identify problems and understand issues. Resolve issues proactively.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC equipment, plumbing and electricity.
• Ability to use and understand basic math.

Full-time hourly position commensurate with experience. Benefits include healthcare, dental and 401k.
