PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Entry Level Accounting Associate will support the Accounting team including Accounting Associate, Staff Accountant, Accounting Supervisor and CFO.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Basic Accounts Receivable
• Basic Accounts Payable 
• Assist with Debt Collection process
• Assist with incoming calls, emails, and SalesForce cases from dealers
• Process purchase orders
• Other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge:
  1. Some experience with Accounting systems
• Skills:
  1. Basic experience with Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Outlook, Excel and Word
  2. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  3. Excellent customer service skills
  4. Strong organizational skills
• Abilities: 
  1. Ability to multi-task
  2. Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities where necessary

AUTHORITY

• Authority to work independently and according to the scope of the role. Complex and financial decisions are limited by a consult and approval of management.

• High School diploma

• Internal systems training (Salesforce, Microsoft Office, AS400 etc.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

• Ability to perform basic job duties in an office setting.
• Ability to lift 10 lbs.
• Sitting, standing, walking, bending at the knee.
