The Accounting Clerk works alongside the Senior Accountant and Controller to calculate and prepare the monthly reports for provider productivity. This task requires the ability to analyze monthly charges to ensure accuracy, including researching and understanding information on patient accounts. This position is responsible for updating and maintaining the productivity reporting software, as well as generating detailed reports that are accurate and consistent. Excellent attention to detail is necessary to produce a well-organized, accurate, and complete final report that is both time and data sensitive.
The Accounting Clerk manages the Medication Assistant Program (MAP) for eligible patients living with chronic diseases and complex immune disorders. This individual will oversee and audit patient enrollment, submission, and reimbursement through a cost-share assistance program with pharmaceutical companies for high-dollar biologic (infusion) medications; such programs provide free medication and/or co-pay assistance to eligible infusion patients.
Part of the Accounting Clerk role is monitoring non-patient (client) billing for DOT, pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and other miscellaneous charges. Responsibilities include sending out monthly statements and processing payments to the appropriate accounts. Also, client billing requires charge verification and the ability to research and correct discrepancies on a routine basis.
Salary: $45,760.00-$69,222.40
