Trissential is currently seeking a Part Time Business Analyst with Electronic Payments experience to join our client team in a Remote capacity. This role, while remote, is only open to candidates who are eligible to work in the US and live/work within the United States.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to collaborate with our electronic payments vendor in documenting our business needs for processing electronic payments through our new website. This is a part time role and the successful candidate will have proven experience with business processes involving financial / accounting / electronic payments. The selected candidate will work closely with the vendor and various client stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and smooth implementation of electronic payment processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the website vendor to conduct a comprehensive inventory and documentation process.
  • This will involve cataloging all fees, fines, and other revenues accepted by the client, detailing associated amounts and legal authority.
  • Document the systems utilized by the client for electronic payment processing, excluding SWIFT, and gather division-specific and agency business process documents pertaining to financial transactions, user access, and payment processing procedures.
  • Identify and list financial institutions engaged in current processes, outline the existing electronic payment processes for each division, and document current cash/check financial transactions across divisions.
  • Conduct analysis to determine divisions' requirements for processing electronic payments that are not currently being met.
  • Spearhead the development of a comprehensive roadmap for the full adoption of electronic payments across the agency.
  • This roadmap will leverage the gathered inventory data to pinpoint necessary APIs, subsystems, or modifications to existing systems required for seamless integration.
  • Identify and address current payment processing needs that currently lack integration with subsystems or databases, ensuring a holistic approach to the electronic payment infrastructure.
  • Play a crucial role in providing implementation support for the electronic payment processes by collaborating closely other financial departments within client and bank.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with financial and oversight standards throughout the implementation process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to the new electronic payment system.
  • Document users, roles, and security requirements for all systems and processes related to electronic payments, fee adjustments, etc.
  • Work with client to establish policy or governance standards, such as passing credit card fees on to users rather than covering them agency-wide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in the finance/payment processing domain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and collaboration tools like MS Teams.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and payment processing systems.
  • Experience in policy or governance standards development is a plus.

Benefits

Trissential offers a competitive hourly rate for the Part Time Senior Business Analyst, ranging between $65 to $75 per hour. This role is estimated to be 20 hours per week for approximately 8 months.
