TriSource is Hiring a 1:1/Classroom Aide Near Baltimore, MD
Are you currently looking for a full time opportunity, working directly with children?
TriSource is seeking dedicated a 1:1 Aide's to begin working in a classroom setting working with well known non-profit organization.
The schools we are working with are located within Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable population
- Experience and/or comfortability working with children who have developmental and intellectual disabilities
- Experience working with behaviors and comfortability providing crisis intervention
- Ability to work in a classroom setting/ group home
- Reliable transportation
- Clean background and ability to pass a drug screen
- High school diploma
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be COVID Vaccinated
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and manages student behavior in the classroom
- Maintains proper rules, safety and security of students, providing crisis intervention when necessary.
- Oversees student to ensure they are on track academically/ following IEP
- Provides verbal cues and physical de-escalation tools when student is in crisis
- Supports teaching staff when assistance is requested
- Provides companionship for children and adolescents who have survived turmoil
- Works alongside children and adolescents who have behavioral issues
- Maintains a safe and calm environment
- Assists with ADL’s to ensure smooth operation of the day
Schedules:
Baltimore City-
- Monday- Friday 7:45am-2:45pm
Baltimore County-
- Monday- Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
