The Assistant Food & Beverage Director is ultimately responsible for assisting the F&B Director in managing all food & beverage operations within the club daily including, but not limited to private events, dining operations, and relationships between club members and employees. 

• Ensure adherence to, and compliance with, all health, safety, liquor consumption, and all other F&B regulations. Keep current on all matters pertaining to the Food and Beverage industry.
• Assist in the management of all beverage inventories and purchases.
• Keep staff informed of necessary and relevant activities and expectations at the Club. Assist in planning and be responsible for ensuring that Club events are well-conceived and executed.
• Be a focused and consistent evaluator of personnel, ensuring that standards of conduct and delivery are met; this includes oversight of high standards of appearance, decorum, hospitality, service, as well as cleanliness of the clubhouse facilities.
• Conduct and/or oversee training programs for food service personnel on various issues including service techniques, knowledge of menu items and daily specials, & sanitation.
• Be an active and dynamic recruiter of team members and enjoy developing and building a team, leading them to positive membership satisfaction outcomes.
• Have a strong and highly visible presence with the membership, be an exceptional communicator, have expert interpersonal skills, and the maturity to instinctively know how to treat members and guests with a high-level of service.
• Be responsive to members’ requests and strive to find creative ways to accommodate reasonable requests; have a belief in a service philosophy of never say “no” and always provide an option to satisfy a request.
• Be a collaborative team player who is willing to be “hands on” when necessary but understands when to step back and lead the team.
• Take personal ownership of his or her area of responsibility, understanding the need to be “member ready” in both appearance and service.
• Monitors event spaces/facility for cleanliness and maintenance issues. Works with housekeeping and maintenance to resolve any issues.
• Promptly reports accidents, injuries, property damage/loss, and near misses to General Manager, Human Resources, and Safety Committee; completes Accident/Incident form to document the incident.
