This position works independently, as well as collaboratively, as part of the accounting team to administrate the accounting and reporting function of the firm's special purpose entities.

What You'll Do:

• Accounting oversight of approximately 185 SPE's
• Responsible for maintaining all investor related information in Trinity's CRM system
• Prepares and Posts Journal Entries and maintains accurate SPE books and records in the General Ledger
• Coordinate the preparation, review and communication of distributions
• Responsible for compliance with company agreements
• Prepare annual financial statements, working with tax department to meet reporting deadlines
• Collaborate with investments team to ensure smooth funds flow and closing process for new investments
• Performs additional special projects for management
• Assist with preparation of 1099's
• Assist with accounting related client inquiries

The Right Candidate Will Have These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• Public/Private CPA preferred but not required
• Ability to learn on-the-job quickly; apply learning to future projects
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes and procedures in a rapidly changing environment
• Hands-on experience accounting of private equity funds preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Superior problem solving, judgment, and decision-making skills
• Ability to think independently, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel (pivots, common formulas), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must have the ability to self-direct work and exercise independent judgment to formulate and implement solutions
• The Senior Accountant is responsible for mentoring the junior level accountants, including training, reviewing work and contributing to accounting best practices.
• Ability to work on-site in our Southlake office.
