JOB DESCRIPTION: The Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting in all areas of daily operations. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will supervise, train, motivate and mentor production employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze setup time and ensure accuracy, review labor hours, and meet production control schedules

 • Defines expected production standards and monitors performance standards of assigned personnel 

• Provide leadership and direction to the plant production team members in areas of safety, machine operation, sanitation, quality, customer service and maintenance.

 • Maintain a clear understanding of company expectations for accuracy, quality and timelessness and develop methods for meeting or exceeding those expectations.

 • Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. • Ensure that quality standards are maintained and continually improved upon. 

• Implement continuous improvement processes that increase productivity and reduce production costs.

 • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the plant with a high standard on housekeeping.

 • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.

 • Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.

 • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

 • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.

 • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

 • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

 • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.

 • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, or fabricators.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • At least 5 years of applicable experience with progressive responsibility in a manufacturing production environment. • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment. • A minimum of two (2) years of direct supervisory experience.

SKILLS • Experience and Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal • Problem analysis and resolution.

Physical Demands • May be required to lift up to 50lbs
