Mission

The Mission of Trinity Classical Academy is to offer a challenging education grounded in the Christian faith

and the Classical tradition to produce young men and women of virtue, wisdom, purpose, and courage.

Qualified candidates will be models in their lives and possess a servant’s heart. They will assist, including supervising, teaching and interacting with children in grades TK-6 and have a heart for ministry to children.

• Assist the teacher with carrying out lesson plans 
• Assist in the daily execution of all classroom and outdoor activities
• Preparing materials used in instructional activities
• Assist teacher in grading process
• Work one-to-one or with small groups of students
• Provide support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
• Tidy up and keep the classroom in good order
• Assist in school outings, field trips and school events
• Substitute the teacher as necessary
• Provide supervision of students during recess, lunch and other activities as necessary
• Provide bathroom supervision as necessary
• Provide full attention to the class, with shared responsibility for safety and well-being of the children
• Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations in classroom and school

School Calendar: Monday – Friday, 7:20 a.m. – 2:55 p.m. or as needed beyond these hours. Training days and parent teacher conferences may be longer workdays

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written command of the English language
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, and students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
• Competence in educational technology (Word processing, online management software, etc.)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Possess the ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and professional manner, while exercising confidentiality, good judgment and discernment
• Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Organization and administrative abilities
