Survey/ROW Technician

Compensation: $25.00 - $40.00 / hour

Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties:

• Create existing topographic maps, boundary survey plats, right-of-way maps, and survey control sheets using convention survey and point cloud data
• Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics
• Manage project data files from various sources
• Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines
• Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment
• Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
• Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

• 3-6 years of related work experience
• Associates degree preferred; equivalent experience and training may be considered
• Experience with survey drafting in Autodesk Civil 3D required
• Ability to interpret 3D pointcloud data and survey data; ability to think 3-dimensionally
• Point cloud extraction experience a plus
• Experience with Trimble Business Center a plus
• Able to occasionally work overtime
• Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
• Work with clients in a professional manner
• Field survey experience is a plus
• Knowledge of DOT standards is a plus, but not required
• Excellent attention to detail
