DRMP's Surveying & Mapping/Geomatics Division is HIRING and we're looking for entry-level, Survey Field Technicians to join our Boca Raton office.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

  • Load truck with the necessary equipment and supplies that are needed throughout the day. 
  • Transport and set up the instruments/equipment and prepare the job site for the survey. 
  • Clear brush and trees away from the survey line. 
  • Hold the prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points. 
  • Assist in the measurement and recording of field data using specified surveying equipment and techniques.
  • Have familiarity/working knowledge of survey equipment. 
  • Operate the surveying equipment with the supervisor's oversight.
  • Follow instructions from survey crew chief and senior surveyors accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with the survey crew and report any issues or concerns promptly. 
  • Learn and develop skills in surveying methods, technical terminology, and industry standards by actively participating in on-the-job training and learning opportunities.

What you'll need

  • High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project.
  • Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines. (machete use)
