Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Trilogy/Synchrony Health Services is looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle to join its Home Office team. This role is a flexible, hybrid position and reports to Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A Director of Revenue Cycle Operations is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including overseeing, billing, coding, claims processing, accounts receivable management, and revenue optimization efforts, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Create and execute short-term and long-term revenue cycle goals and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant billing and coding practices to prevent revenue loss and regulatory issues.
  • Identify and make recommendations for organizational changes required as the result of interpreting new legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee claims submission and processing to minimize denials and optimize reimbursement.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, working to reduce outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and select revenue cycle software, tools, and vendors.
  • Ensure that all revenue cycle activities comply with federal, state, and industry regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in healthcare reimbursement policies and adapt processes accordingly.
  • Develops policies and standard operating procedures for Business Office processes.
  • Contributes to the departmental and company goals ensuring quarterly and annual goals are met.

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year degree in accounting, business management, or economics preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in revenue cycle management, with progressive leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, billing, and coding processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle software and technology tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
