Position Overview:

The Learning & Development Supervisor will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs that align with our strategic business objectives and support our employees' professional growth. You will collaborate closely with department leaders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and deliver effective training solutions. Your role will be instrumental in promoting a culture of continuous learning and elevating employee performance across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the successful execution of training programs and the continuous growth and development of the team members. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and the sharing of best practices in learning and development.
  • Work closely with managers to ensure that all employees receive the necessary training to perform their job duties effectively.
  • Partner with Instructional Designer/LMS Administrator to implement effective learning across
  • Accountable for the planning, delivery, evaluation & administration of training programs to include new employee orientation, on-the-job, skill development, compliance, safety, regulatory, corporate, and other training as needed.
  • Attend operations meetings, including DOR, WOR, MOC and all other relevant meetings.
  • Conduct 1 on 1 meetings with new hires during first 90 days.
  • Support during audits; ensuring readiness and presentation of data.
  • Create cross functional partnerships to reduce training gaps and build consistency.
  • Tracks training events, keeps accurate training records; including training matrix and provides reports on training progress and completion to leadership.
  • This person will build materials including SCORM files for e-learning, webinars, video scripts, job aids, and facilitator guides, run pilots and continuously improve materials based on feedback.
  • Create and evaluate measurable KPI’s by position and department with guidance of Training Manager and partnership.
  • Create and conduct ‘train the trainer’ programs to instruct others that will be responsible for technical training.
  • Deliver information and lead structured learning activities while facilitating participant interactions to achieve the session objectives.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, and efficiencies.
  • Keep abreast of equipment and technology changes; update and create new training materials to ensure training effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an operations, human resources, business, management, or related area of study is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of training processes, adult learning theory and employee development strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and LMS/other training software.
  • The ability to read, write and understand English is required.
  • Excellent training skills and ability to provide direction effectively to others.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot a variety of issues (assess a situation, identify the cause, and determine potential solutions).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
  • Strong record of performance in the areas of attendance, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Responsible for following food safety/regulatory policies and procedures, executing responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and reporting food safety/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in basic English and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Preferred Bilingual- Hmong/ Spanish (NOT REQUIRED)

Hours and Compensation: We offer a competitive base pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package for full time employees.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift. The employees must frequently lift and/or move items up to and including fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
