Summary:

The Regional Controller is responsible for managing the financial health of an organization to promote success and growth. This role will advise the organization on how to increase profit through prudent financial practices and monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures, and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and presents financial information to BU species/category/channel teams to maximize business strategy planning and provide insight for possible courses of action based on results of analysis.
  • Manages the annual sales budgeting and planning process for the Business Unit.
  • Partners with Sales and Operations in the decision-making process and recommend opportunities for improved sales productivity and revenue development through reporting and analysis. Provide pricing analytics and recommendations to ensure pricing covers inflation and margins are expanding to capture internal efficiency investments.
  • Identifies the business variables that drive the P&L and develops business and operational metrics using financial planning and forecasting.
  • Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly, yearly business, financial, statistical models, and P&L reviews for key stakeholders.
  • Works with business and finance leaders to identify Sales and Finance Key Performance Indicators to guide sales planning, forecasting and develop business analytical solutions for variance and quantitative analysis.
  • Manages financial and business data within SQL databases and architect tables for data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of software tools (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Report Builder, R, Python) to develop detailed financial models and analytical reporting.
  • Directs the Finance FP&A department and manages the growth and development of financial analysts.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Advises stakeholders of their sales margins on key customers and products and runs scenarios to enhance sales performance.
  • Remains aware of data warehouse infrastructure updates, storage and ETL changes
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety training

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive finance related experience.
  • Four-year degree (B.A.) in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical background and experience working directly in a finance environment modeling revenues, costs, and expenses.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and building complex financial models and P&Ls

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
  • International experience
  • CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA
  • A proven ability to act in a leading role, influencing financial, strategic, and operational decisions.
  • Advanced project management skills and financial business acumen.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to reach across departments and geographies
  • Experience managing multiple projects and managing direct reports, indirect reports, and consultants across multiple functions and geographies in a complex matrix organization

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $110,000to $149,000.

For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit starts at 10 days per year, adjusted commensurate with relevant experience, and 7 days of sick leave per year (9 in Seattle), accrued bi-weekly. Commuter and transit programs are also available.
