Job Description

The Director of HR, Americas designs and oversees the strategy and implementation of effective HR programs and policies for the Americas region. Identifies and drives innovative solutions and collaborate with regional business management and HR specialists to serve the region. balances local market practices with company-wide HR policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercises significant industry and regional knowledge to independently recommend and implement HR solutions for short- and long-range goals, I.e. partner with DEIB to implement strategies on improving workforce diversity. 
  • Builds and facilitates strategic relationships across the organization. Drives an effective partnership with management, advising on Human Resources planning and related issues. Assesses and anticipates Human Resources related needs. 
  • Drives the talent strategy and partners with business areas to assess staff engagement, retention, contingency planning, and career pathing. Works with senior leadership on determining the best employee goals, metrics, and drivers. 
  • Develops and implements operational Human Resources plans to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. Owns data and reporting for the AMS dashboard and analyzes and presents reports and recommendations to leaders. 
  • Provides regional input and context for compensation and benefits analyses. Coordinates, implements, and guarantees adherence of benefits programs. Ensures compensation and benefit programs align with HR goals, regional, and industry standards. 
  • Assume ownership of all HR processes, including onboarding & induction of new employees, performance management to ensure the employee experience is optimized across the employee lifecycle for AMS 
  • Proactively communicates updates on employment legislation and with well thought out implementation plans as needed. Serves as POC for all related questions for region 
  • Identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee engagement. 
  • Support and promote the company's reputation as the "best place to work.” 

Qualifications

  • Eight years related work experience, with at least five years of human resources experience. 
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred. 
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law. 
  • Excellent project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while successively handling multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience in providing leadership by example (hands-on leader). Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and team building skills with people and performance management/development experience. 
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to prioritize and present information concisely to executive leaders.
