Tribute Baking Company is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Boston, MA

Tribute Baking Company is the strategic combination of three businesses with rich histories in the baking industry! Always Bagels, Original Bagel, and Hometown Foods USA, together, create a market leading producer of authentic New York style kettle-boiled, hearth-baked bagels and high-quality cake products sold into the in-store bakery, club store, foodservice, and convenience store channels.

We're seeking a Sales Manager to help us meet our revenue goals by keeping our company engaged with customers, growing our broad product line, and innovativing our customer relationships. The Sales Manager should have an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling and creative way, while thinking critically about providing solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate is highly customer-focused and hungry to learn and grow within the sales organization. Often tasked with in-person customer meetings, developing customer growth opportunities, and attending trade shows, the sales representative must be both personable and professional. Having experience working in the food industry is a plus but we are excited to show you the ropes if you are coming from another industry.

This position is based in our Boston, MA location and will report to our VP of Sales also located in Boston. Light travel is required.

Duties/Responsibilities- may include other duties as required and assigned:

  • Responsible for growing the current sales base, cross selling items the customers don't buy, and managing broker activities to customers primarily in the New England area
  • Develop and execute solutions to address customers' needs and challenges in a timely fashion
  • Learn sales processes including CRM and identify opportunities for growth across the territory
  • Achieve growth objectives by planning thoroughly and managing time across mutliple activities
  • Ability to mine provided market data and trends on customers performance to help the customer drive growth
  • Manage & maintain the CRM (Netsuite)
  • Manage customer account projects and other sales projects as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years of successful performance in a sales or sales support role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, creative thinking, problem-solving, presentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with customers, brokers, and Tribute Baking team
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, anticipate and navigate issues to meet customer and Tribute expectations
  • Proven self organizational and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to building a career path
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office applications: Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Local travel to customers is required; Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Food-industry experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or an associate degree in relevant fields
  • Systems knowledge: Netsuite (ERP)
