GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for all file maintenance of Tribe’s, equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

· Constant monitoring of maintenance issues with all Tribe trucks and trailers to include regular status updates to the Asset Load Planners and Driver Managers.

· Coordinate with repair shops and roadside services to minimize downtime for customer loads and drivers.

· Research local repair shops and services to coordinate cost effective and timely repairs.

· Provide authorization for minor repairs and preventive maintenance services to approved providers promptly to maintain optimum customer service.

· Track, report and relay service information for all preventative maintenance, APU service, Reefer service and annual inspections services.

· Initiate, audit and sustain all truck and trailer maintenance files in all necessary systems.

· Code all Maintenance invoices by truck, trailer and service performed.

· Enter all maintenance invoices in the Transportation Management system.

· Alert the Maintenance Coordinator of any issues that may arise from audits of the truck, trailer and maintenance files.

· Coordinate, order and sustain decals for all Cherokee National equipment.

· Participates in driver orientation to explain driver responsibilities and steps for reporting maintenance and breakdowns.

· Maintain knowledge of safety and log clerk functions to provide back up as needed.

· Assist Express team with all new truck acquisitions and paperwork requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· One (1) to two (2) years office experience.

· Must be organized and possess above average attention to detail skills.

· Excellent computer skills to include proficient excel skills.

· Ability to think on your feet and provide creative problem solutions.

· High School Diploma Required.

· Knowledge of TMW a plus.

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Persistence coupled with persuasion skills imperative for success

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
