Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with behavioral challenges. This position requires strong crisis management skills, data collection abilities, and knowledge of medical terminology and documentation.
Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral challenges in various settings (e.g., home, school, community)
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective treatment
- Utilize appropriate crisis management techniques when necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of behavior analysis
Skills:
- Strong crisis management skills to effectively handle challenging behaviors
- Proficient in data collection methods and techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to accurately document medical information
- Familiarity with special education practices and principles
- Understanding of social work principles and techniques
- Experience or knowledge in PTSD care and addiction counseling is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
