Lead Maintenance Technician, 2nd shift

2nd shift working schedule:

The working schedule for 2nd shift is Monday – Thursday from 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Overtime and weekend work is required.
Essential Functions:

  • Lead 2nd shift maintenance team and perform complex mechanical repair work assignments.
  • Leading Preventative Maintenance (PM) efforts of all site equipment including, manufacturing process & packaging equipment.
  • Performs advance and complex work assignments in the following disciplines: mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Using experience, skills and knowledge performs mechanical troubleshooting techniques in a logical manner on all equipment.
  • Prepares and completes written documentation of assigned PM and repair work orders.
  • Maintains all maintenance workshop equipment and tools.
  • Reads and understands technical bulletins, manuals, instructions and blueprints.
  • Monitors team performance-seeking opportunities to make performance improvements.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Maintain site programs, Lockout, Confined space, Hot-work.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing facility that produces product with allergen ingredients.
  • This position is also called upon to perform other duties not specifically outlined by this job description.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in maintenance function within manufacturing environment (including food industry in general, and at least 3 years of experience).
  • Be an active leader in the company’s maintenance programs.
  • Possesses sound knowledge of lubrication practices.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to standing for prolonged periods; frequently walks, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling products, computers, or machinery. The employee is subject to assist and support up to 50 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a as needed basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate equipment if required. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and non-moving mechanical parts. The employee could have work conditions that are extremely cold or extremely hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
