Looking for the next step in your veterinary career in emergency medicine? We are currently seeking an experienced full time Overnight RVT/VMA ER/ICU Floor Lead!
The Triangle's premier Emergency and Specialty Hospitals are seeking a highly motivated and highly skilled ER/ICU Lead to join our team. Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospitals (TVRH) is a multi-location group which consists of two 24-hour Emergency and Specialty practices. In addition to our emergency and critical care service we have specialty services in surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, radiology, neurology, dermatology, and rehabilitation. We are expanding our surgery department and would like to add new members to our team of board-certified surgeons, surgery/anesthesia technicians and surgery assistants. Our new facility, advanced equipment, (including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, CT, and MRI) and services allow plenty of opportunities for growth.
Job Summary
Our leads work on the floor as an emergency technician with some additional responsibilities including assisting in task prioritization and workflow, training, and acting as a liaison between staff and management.
Essential Job Functions
Ability to prioritize in a busy emergency room setting
Ability to lead the team in a respectful, collaborative manner to achieve common goals
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, clinicians, management, and clients
Required Technical Skills
Advanced drug dosage calculations including dilutions and multi-drug CRI calculations
Proficiency in the placement of sampling or central lines, NE and NG tubes, and nasal oxygen
Demonstrated familiarity with common emergencies, medications, and treatments
Experience leading CPR
Experience providing extensive nursing care for critical patients
Proficiency in anesthetic monitoring
Required Experience
2 years of experience in an emergency or intensive care veterinary medicine role performing the required technical skills listed above.
Registered RVT
Preferred Experience
1 year of experience in a leadership or training role. Leadership training/CE heavily considered.
