Summary/Objective

We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager to direct and manage our organization's business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies. General duties for the general manager will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. We are seeking a manager who will assist our organization in contract negotiation and renewals, customer interface, maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, problem-solving, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting overall growth and business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily business operations.
• Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Training low-level supervisors and staff.
• Assisting in contract negotiations.
• Establishes and maintains credible, professional relationships with clients and external vendors.
• Oversees and reports daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics.
• Collaborating with other back-office team members to ensure business execution, reinforcing teamwork, and uphold company values. Collaborates with transitions and new hires as needed.
• Works closely with management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the firm are being properly executed.
• Evaluating performance and productivity.
• Analyzing financial data and improving revenue.
• Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
• Generating reports and giving presentations.

The employee is required to bend, climb, lift, kneel, sit and/or stand for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel and/or reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to dust. The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme hot.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields. (Required)
• 3 to 5 years experience in Warehouse Operations (Preferred)
• Experience in 3PL Operations (Preferred)
• Knowledge of DOT Transportation (Preferred)
• Knowledge of various business functions, exceptional budgeting, finance skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to communicate with others effectively.
• Highly organized, strong work ethic, and proactive nature.
• Ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues
• Must pass background check and drug screen (Required)
