Tri Pointe Connect is looking for an experienced, problem solving individual to join our talented group as a Director of Centralized Production.

Position Highlights: The Director of Centralized Production oversees the centralized origination team providing back up support to the branches across the country. Responsibilities include providing strategic leadership to the mortgage branches and builder devisions. Ensures the pipelines are managed appropriately and support is provided to handle over flow loans from the branches. Overall volume and turn times are elevated and managed to ensure customer service and quality metrics exceed the company standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the origination of all mortgage loans for the country, from point of sale through closing, are handled appropriately to meet the needs of the builder and customer.
  • Develop and monitor daily, monthly and quarterly productivity measurements for the team.
  • Strive to meet and/or exceed corporate goals for capture rates and customer service.
  • Work with Production Managers to monitor responses to customer complaints and review evaluations, taking corrective action as necessary to ensure top quality service.
  • Use productivity reports and standards to ensure Production Managers are managing the daily flow of loans to the Loan Consultants, ensuring applications are processed and approved in a timely manner.
  • Plan and participate in process improvement initiatives throughout the company to ensure and enhance efficiencies.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all jobs and functions within the areas of responsibility to provide guidance and to ensure appropriate training for all employees.
  • Plan for appropriate staffing levels based on set productivity standards.
  • Develop and monitor financials, including staffing levels and general expenses on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Identify and initiate projects to optimize business performance based on review of financial data.
  • Analyze and interpret business trends, and propose appropriate and creative recommendations and solutions.
  • Direct and motivate team members to ensure consistent and maximum performance levels.
  • Provide guidance, direction and leadership to team members and assist them with any questions or problems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the branches, fulfillment and the builder partner.
  • Ensure availability of the training necessary to uphold QA and investor standards (i.e., ensure Loan Counsultants and Production Managers are thoroughly trained in all QA and investor requirements).
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships internally and externally.
  • Participate in the final interviews of Loan Consultant candidates across the country and provide input to the Production Managers in their hiring decisions.
  • Assist with all other special tasks or projects as directed by the senior leadership team.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 years of management experience, preferable in the mortgage industry.
  • 10 years of experience in mortgage production, preferably in a builder environment.
  • Strong loan origination system experience, Encompass a plus.
  • Exceptional knowledge of all loan types to include FHA, VA, Conventional and USDA/Bond.
  • NMLS licensing, as needed
  • Proven knowledge of secondary marketing, pricing and market trends.
  • Familiar with underwriting guidelines.
  • Knowledge of ECOA, HMDA, RESPA and other compliance/regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience with OB, SimpleNexus, Salesforce, Compensafe, all helpful.
