Role:
This employee works to assure that unsheltered homeless individuals/families gain access to appropriate shelter and other necessary services.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
20% Perform all data entry related tasks including sorting, proofing, updating, and storing client information for the Division.
20% Maintain complete data files accurately and securely.
15% Compile, sort, verify and correct data to be entered.
10% Review data for completeness and accuracy. Process and resolve data inquiries by searching and reviewing the databases.
10% Contact program managers of source documents to address data inconsistencies and to gather missing data.
10% Maintain records of work completed. Manage filing and routing of source documents after entry.
5% Update data in appropriate databases in accurate and timely manner so as to avoid backlogging.
5% Establish data naming standards and consistent data definitions to improve overall data quality.
5% Performs other job related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience Three months to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree or (2) completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by equipment vendors or (4) job specific skills acquired through on-the-job training or apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
