Tri City Glass & Door is Hiring an Estimator Near Appleton, WI

The Estimator will support the business growth and service by creating job estimates for potential Hollow Metal clients using architectural plans and specifications. Our team members are knowledgeable and energetic with a passion for our quality and service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following:
  • Maintain consistent clear communication with external and internal customers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of available estimating software.
  • Acquire understanding of the scope of work for projects to be bid.
  • Communicate with Department manager and internal salespersons to maximize sales margins while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Prepare both material and labor cost analysis and apply appropriate markup.
  • Complete written estimates and distribute to the appropriate distribution channel.
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates.
  • Visit jobsites or other venues to gather essential information.
  • Select proper metrics to produce efficient and accurate estimates.
  • Solicit vendor or subcontractor bids as needed to finalize a complete and accurate quote
  • Required to wear and use personal protective equipment per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates Degree is a plus.
  • Previous Estimating experience in construction or manufacturing, a plus
  • AutoCAD or Blue Beam experience, a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity with hand tools, tape measures and levels, etc.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
