Job Title: Inventory Supervisor
Job Overview:
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the inventory control process within the organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and optimization of inventory levels. The Inventory Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a well-organized and efficient inventory system to support the company's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inventory Management:
    • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels.
    • Monitor inventory movements, including receiving, shipping, and transfers, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
    • Analyze and report on inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and train inventory control staff, providing guidance on best practices and company policies.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the inventory team.
    • Allocate tasks effectively and ensure that team members are meeting performance expectations.
  3. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and other relevant departments to optimize inventory levels.
    • Coordinate with vendors to address non-conforming parts ensuring the proper transaction occurs within the returns process.
    • Communicate regularly with different departments to understand their inventory needs and address any concerns.
  4. Technology Utilization:
    • Utilize inventory management software and tools to track and manage inventory levels efficiently.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to implement improvements in the inventory management process.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory control and implement changes as needed.
    • Recommend and implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance overall inventory efficiency.
  6. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate and analyze regular reports on key inventory metrics, such as stock levels, turnover rates, and aging inventory.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize inventory performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in inventory management and supervision, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Work EnvironmentOn site time could be brand new construction (PPE required), brown field sites where working off hour shifts, and remote deployments.
Physical RequirementsNeed to be able to drive (valid drivers license), fly anywhere in the US, and be able to climb stairs and pick up cartons/totes.
