- Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Monitor inventory movements, including receiving, shipping, and transfers, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Analyze and report on inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and train inventory control staff, providing guidance on best practices and company policies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the inventory team.
- Allocate tasks effectively and ensure that team members are meeting performance expectations.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and other relevant departments to optimize inventory levels.
- Coordinate with vendors to address non-conforming parts ensuring the proper transaction occurs within the returns process.
- Communicate regularly with different departments to understand their inventory needs and address any concerns.
- Technology Utilization:
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to track and manage inventory levels efficiently.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to implement improvements in the inventory management process.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory control and implement changes as needed.
- Recommend and implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance overall inventory efficiency.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze regular reports on key inventory metrics, such as stock levels, turnover rates, and aging inventory.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize inventory performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3 years’ experience in inventory management and supervision, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
