Tool Room Assistant

Treske Precision Machining, Inc. is a precision machine shop. We serve: Space & Defense, Aerospace, Electronics and Commercial Customers. We are Technology Driven including Robotic Machine Loading and Inspection. Our Cloud-Based On-The-Clock Training is for all employees. Our own in-house software developers continually improve the flow of information we need to do our daily jobs

Shift: Weekday nights - Train on days

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Assembles cutting tools and holders per instructions and tool lists
• Verifies tool dimensions using a computerized Zoller Tool pre-setter
• Installs completed tools in to CNC machines
• Uses computer skills for issuing and receiving stock into inventory
• Assembles fixtures and work-holding devices
• Installs fixtures and work-holding on machine pallets
• Performs basic fixture maintenance
• Maintains fixture inventory and storage

Desired Skills and Experience

• Machine shop experience
• Simple tool grinding experience is a plus

• Inventory management experience

• Completion of a Machine Tech course is a plus.
• Possession of strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
• Able to work collectively with the Tool Crib team, Machinists, Planner/Schedulers, and management.

Job Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Work performed in factory settings. Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
