The Tremron location manufactures decorative pavers and landscaping wall in its two onsite manufacturing facilities.

Position Summary

The position of Safety Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of safety practices, procedures and training that will insure a work environment that can be accident free. In this position you will have a flexible work schedule to train all employees, complete audits and develop procedures in a changing environment. This position has responsibility for site environmental practices and documentation. This position will assist HR has needed.

Job Description

· Provide safety control programs, documentation, and standard operating procedures to assure our employees are working in the proper manner to perform their duties.

· Create and maintain monthly safety programs, for all Tremron Jacksonville employees, to lead, motivate, and foster a safety-conscious culture in the workplace.

· Organize and lead the Safety Committee.

· Responsible for regulatory assessments and efforts to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and local health and safety regulations.

· Conduct regular compliance audits and safety inspections of the facility and initiate corrective actions to eliminate hazards and promote a safe work environment.

· Lead the investigation of accidents, determine causative factors, and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence.

· Develop task-specific job safety analyses for work performed at the facility.

· Participate in design meetings, with a safety viewpoint, for our machinery.

· Maintain corporate compliance of company Safety Programs.

· Report monthly statistics to WRK corporate.

· Work “hands on” to help the entire team understand the company’s commitment to Vision Zero.

Requirements

· Experience in manufacturing operations and safety aspects associated with manufacturing

· Associates Degree preferred, or equivalent experience in this field of experience

· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and practices

· Safety control techniques, processes, and procedures

· Proficient in verbal and written communications skills ( proficient MS Word and Excel)

· Able to demonstrate a high level of integrity, and a determination for an accident free work place

· Must have superior management skills (i.e., exceptional ability to handle objections, conflict management, mentoring and coaching, team leadership, delegation)

· The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to correctly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be clean shaven and able to wear a N95 respirator as required
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to a 12 hour shift
• Must be able to bend, push, pull, kneel, grasp and reach
• Must be able to climb industrial ladders and not afraid of heights
• Must be able to work in a concrete production environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 100 F in the Florida environment

Potential employees must pass a pre-employment physical including a drug screen, pulmonary function test and physical demands test prior to being hired. A background checking going back 7 years will be completed as well.
