Tremont Construction Management is Hiring a Project Estimator Near Boston, MA

Tremont Construction Management is seeking a Project Estimator for our office located in the heart of Boston’s Financial District

The Project Estimator is responsible to lead Tremont’s effort on assigned projects including being the main point of contact for Owners, Architects, Subcontractors and Suppliers during the pre-construction process. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently as well as alongside the project team, and possess the ability to strategize and manage Tremont exposure while providing world class customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Review and understand all aspects of construction documents for Corporate Interiors, Lab / Life Science and or Restaurant / Retail markets
  • Act as liaison between client and subcontractors to ensure we are producing accurate estimates and budgets. 
  • Perform takeoffs and develop conceptual budgets utilizing Tremont’s historical cost data
  • Develop, communicate and understand Tremont’s pricing strategy and lump sum pricing
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential/current clients and subcontractors
  • Utilize construction scheduling software to detail milestones in the pre-construction schedule
  • Obtain the best pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, and subcontractors, etc.
  • Manage the Estimating Coordinator to publish RFPs to subcontractor
  • Serve as a mentor to Estimating Coordinator(s)

We're Looking For

  • Experience in construction estimating in corporate interiors and restaurants/retail
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working a fast-pace, energetic environment while committed to producing detailed, accurate estimates
  • Ability to work under tight timelines, multitask and hit project deadlines
  • Experience using Excel, On Screen, Planswift, Procore, and/or Bluebeam software is a plus
