Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Ward Clerk. As a Ward Clerk, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This is a full-time position with competitive pay. Responsibilities: - Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel - Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar - Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality - Assist with medical billing and insurance verification - Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care - Maintain inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed - Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality - Perform general clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents Experience: - Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred - Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft is a plus - Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable - Experience with dental office procedures or dental receptionist duties is an advantage - Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Join our team as a Ward Clerk and contribute to providing exceptional patient care in our medical facility.
