About the Position: 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team who work in our restaurant operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with other culinary teams, front-of-house staff, and resort management to uphold our reputation as a premier dining destination. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including staff scheduling, food preparation, and inventory management. 

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for food service, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. 

  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Operations Manager and other culinary teams at our resort to create innovative menus that align with Treetops Resort's dining philosophy and guest expectations. 

  • Manage budgeting and cost control measures, including ordering supplies, negotiating with vendors, and minimizing waste. 

  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 

  • Coordinate with the FOH management to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. 

  • Address and resolve any issues related to food quality, staff performance, or guest satisfaction in a timely and professional manner. 

  • Tracking industry trends and culinary techniques to enhance the dining experience and operational efficiency. 

  • Other duties as required. 

Qualifications


Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-volume environment. 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required. 

  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent professional certification preferred. 

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing a diverse culinary team. 

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. 

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management.
