About our dream candidate: The ideal candidate will possess expertise in handling website projects involving UX/UI design, WordPress website development, landing pages, and hosting. A successful candidate should demonstrate proficiency in technology, particularly in understanding WordPress and its relevance to achieving the client’s overarching business objectives. Given the dynamic nature of our projects, the candidate should be versatile, capable of multitasking, and ensuring effective communication with the team regarding deliverables and deadlines. Furthermore, the candidate should possess the ability to allocate tasks to the appropriate team members and articulate the scope of work clearly.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
  • Managing:
    • Workflow, timelines, and budgets
    • Team deliverables with soft and hard deadlines
    • Multiple clients and projects at one time
    • Project expectations with the account manager
    • Vendor partners for outsourced deliverables
  • Providing:
    • End-to-end project lifecycle management of WordPress website efforts ensuring WordPress website design/development tasks and projects stay on schedule and meet all defined requirements
    • Support to the team and resolving WordPress website problems quickly and efficiently
    • Quality check before work goes to the client for review
    • Assistance in preparing contracts and proposals
    • Maintenance Reports to account manager and answering questions on website performance
  • Organizing and communicating with team and account manager:
    • On-boarding sessions
    • Tasks
    • Feedback
    • Next steps
    • Meeting dates and notes
    • Project status
Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education:
  • A full understanding of scope of work and the ability to discern what does and doesn’t fall within it
  • Ability to proactively identify client growth opportunities and communicate efficiently to the business development team
  • Answer technical questions related to WordPress, design, development, hosting, and emails
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (phone, email, and face-to-face)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent computer skills 
    • with proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, and Dropbox
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Passion for technology and all things digital – trends vs. fads, coding changes, WordPress updates, emerging technologies, and if/when/how to test and adopt new platforms, tactics, and trends
  • High level of: 
    • Attention to detail (including accurate data entry skills)
    • Self-motivation
    • Knowledge in WordPress framework, plugins, and maintenance
    • Web project management skills relating to tasks and communication
  • Ability to: 
    • Oversee and manage large, complex, and diverse projects
    • Lead the team through successful project completion by deadlines
    • Defuse situations when needed
    • Prioritize, manage time, switch gears, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Think several steps ahead and execute tasks without (or before) being given direction (once trained)
    • Take work direction well & follow specific processes and procedures (once taught)

    • Utilize the correct tools, resources, and team members to find answers to client questions

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:
  • 3-5 years experience in WordPress design and development required
  • 3-5 years experience in website account management or related field of work preferred
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Management experience preferred
  • Working with project management tools
  • Proficient in: 
    • AWS Servers, Shared Hosting Environments, CDN, and FTP
    • Responsive website design
    • UI/UX
    • Search Engine Optimization Best Practices
    • WordPress
    • WordPress Plugins
    • PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL
  • Basic knowledge/experience with: 
    • Editing/understanding of WordPress websites
    • WordPress back-end development (including custom post types, theme customization, plug-in configuration, and customization, and database structure)
    • Adobe Creative Suite, XD, and similar design platforms preferred
    • CRM (Insightly), GSuite, Office 365, Slack, QuickBooks, WordPress, 1Password & Dropbox
    • Digital engagement areas, such as web design, web analytics, search engine optimization, and quality assurance
    • Copywriting
What We Offer the Right Candidate:
$24 - $35/hr DOE with health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement, paid time off for major US holidays, and PTO.
This position is a full-time, remote work setting, with standard hours set for Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, providing flexibility as needed. Client communication can be handled through Zoom or a phone call and must be handled during standard business hours. We are willing to train the right candidate for some aspects of the role, but prefer someone who understands and appreciates the overall process of watching a website come to life and displays exceptional communication and organization skills.
