Tread Corporation is a manufacturer of bulk handling equipment focused on servicing the explosives industry on a worldwide basis with Tread equipment operating in all reaches of the globe. Corporate offices and manufacturing facilities are located in Roanoke, Virginia, United States with service capabilities managed from Chile, Australia, and South Africa. Products include bulk trucks, emulsion and mix plants, explosive storage, control systems, as well as aftermarket parts.

We would like to add additional members to our Tread team by selecting experienced Electronics Technicians. The candidates selected for this position will be responsible for performing most of the necessary operations required for the assembly and wiring of electrical components and systems that are installed on our trucks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities will be: utilization of work orders, gathering of required parts, construction of subassemblies, and installation of components along the truck body.

• Construct and maintain low voltage electrical control systems
• Assemble components in shop and then install on class 8 commercial trucks
• Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies
• Operate a CNC laser engraver
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to put together electronic devices
• Read and interpret shop drawings, written assembly instructions, and measuring devices such as tape measurers, digital calipers, and multi-meters
• Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing troubleshooting and repair activities
