Job Responsibilities:

Laboratory Technician I Position

TRE Environmental Strategies, LLC (TRE) has an immediate opening for a part time Laboratory Technician I position.

Primary Responsibilities include:

-Cleaning of glassware and laboratory equipment

-Organizing laboratory

- Culturing of aquatic organisms

-Basic aquatic chemistry analysis

-Sample receipt and shipment of sample kits

- Meter use and calibration

-Assisting senior technicians in miscellaneous work

-Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds

- Be proactive with training

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should have a degree or course work in a relevant field (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, etc). Candidate should have strong work ethic, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, high attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team and individually with minimal supervision or follow-up. Laboratory experience is a plus. Candidate will be required to pass a short written and dexterity test at the interview.

Expected schedule is ~40 hours per week during the summer (part-time in the Fall) and will include occasional overtime, weekends, and 1-2 holidays. Pay is commensurate with experience ($16.00 per hour). Expected start date is as soon as a qualified candidate is selected.
