Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.

PRACTICE OVERVIEW

Our RE POWER- Program delivers an integrated approach to power plant decommissioning, asset recovery and site preparation, all the way through redevelopment planning, design, and implementation optimizing our clients- return on investment. Our comprehensive solutions support power plant owners and developers meet their full project lifecycle needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

TRC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Development Professional for our RE POWER- Program team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and is a front-line, client-focused leader who works with stakeholders to understand project needs and manages teams to deliver services to meet those requirements.

The Senior Project Manager / Project Development Professional provides expertise in managing and driving the full spectrum of consulting services required throughout the project life cycle of power plant redevelopment projects, from decommissioning/demolition and site remediation to planning, permitting, and constructing new renewable power generation, battery energy storage systems, and/or industrial development. This position supports our Transaction Advisory Services practice in conducting power plant due diligence.

The Senior Project Manager / Project Development Professional will also provide project management expertise to oversee day-to-day operations of significant client accounts and cross platforming of complex projects, including client relationship, proposal delivery, project staffing needs, work execution on client's schedule, QA/QC of work product, and project delivery.

This individual may work 100% remotely from any location in the continental U.S. or report to a TRC office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS

    • Maintain TRC-s values for safety, quality, integrity, creativity, accountability, teamwork and passion.
    • Support the development of new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
    • Develop proposals resulting in the award of new work. Engage with internal and external service providers to develop scope, budget, and schedule.
    • Contribute to the development of example proposals, example reports, costing templates, project lists, staff biographies, etc.
    • Participate in key trade organizations and in the marketplace.
    • Communicate with TRC marketing and communications regarding trade show events, publications, press releases, blog posts, etc.
    • Generate new opportunities through an established network of renewable energy, energy storage, and/or industrial clients.
    • Manage client communications as necessary in coordination with the Market Director and Client/Account Managers.
    • Manage projects, leading teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
    • Provide technical leadership, coordinate project workflows, manage financial performance and contribute to reporting.
    • Prepare written technical reports and synthesize input from by internal and external subject matter experts.
    • Prepare technical scopes and cost estimates for site remediation, decommissioning, demolition, and site preparation, incorporating inputs from by internal and external subject matter experts.
    • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed personally, as well as projects and tasks managed by others. Responsible for implementation of quality procedures at project and task levels.
    • Mentor/advise newly added team members to provide understanding of the RE POWER- program and associated work.
Qualifications

EDUCATION - QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. or B. A. from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 10 years of brownfield redevelopment experience.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of development, design and construction of renewable generation facilities, battery energy storage systems, and/or industrial development.
  • Strong entrepreneurial interest and experience engaging clients to identify, win and manage projects.
  • Experience leading, recruiting, building, mentoring, and fostering a project team of scientists and engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills, specifically, clearly conveying complex technical information in written reports and presentations.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONSIn addition to the basic qualifications the qualifications below are highly desired but not required:

  • M.S., Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP).

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $120k-$165k. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
