Overview: Boot Truck Sales - Safety Footwear Sales

Overview: The Boot Truck Sales position will travel 2-3 nights per week to our scheduled customers. A CDL is not required but the ability to drive and manage a 26 foot box truck is required. This position will actively greet our customers in an upbeat and professional manner while providing a world class customer experience selling safety footwear. This position will represent Trav's Outfitter in a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable manner to our customers and team members

Job Essentials:

Drive and manage 28 foot box truck - CDL NOT required.
Must have a clean driving record and ability to drive a truck under 26,000 lbs.
NO CDL is required.
Must be able to pass a drug test for interstate health card
Sell safety shoes to our customers employees through genuine service, a great fitting process, & unparalleled selection.
Greet all customers on the boot truck with courtesy and a smile
Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions
Demonstrate a passion for safety footwear on our trucks.
Work with product placement and inventory stocking on the trucks.
Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions through the POS to itemize and total customer purchases
Collects payment in form of cash, check or credit from customers and able to provide accurate change when needed, and the transaction receipt
Records daily transactions from cash register to balance drawer by counting money at the beginning and end of each visit.
Retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
Load trucks with safety footwear and prepare them for traveling to specific customer locations
Attend all Trav's product training and all store meetings
Maintain a professional appearance on the trucks and in the store.
Strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement while contributing to a positive team atmosphere
Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with customers and all levels within the organization when resolving problems.
Strong oral / written communication and reading skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization
Ability to work assigned scheduled which may include varied hours, evening, early mornings, Monday thru Friday.
Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers and other employees
Demonstrates strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills
Exercise judgment and tact while working with customers or co workers
Must be willing to help with freight/stocking when needed
Help on our sales floor for our store location in Watertown as needed.
Assist with all other duties as assigned

Expert Experience: High School Diploma, or General Education Degree(GED) is required. ,1-3 months of sales experience is a plus. But for the right attitude and personality we will train you how to sell

Activity: Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Medium work – Exerting in excess of 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Trav’s Outfitter cares about the health and safety of our Associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury

Schedule: Must be flexible to work assigned schedule Monday through Friday. Must be willing to travel overnight 2-3 days per week while out. All expense are paid by the company. Schedule may include varied hours while traveling to sell on customer site. Average hours per week is 45 hours.
