Job Title: Safety and Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Location: McGregor, Texas

Job Summary:

The Safety and Continuous Improvement Coordinator is a key member of our operations team, who will be responsible for health and safety in the workplace, as well as perform key duties in a continuous improvement environment. They will implement and enforce safety programs and standardize them to remain consistent, as well as share best practice techniques at regular safety meetings. The location that they will be responsible for is a fabrication facility.

The ideal candidate will maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure that every member of staff complies with the regulated standards. They will also have outstanding organizational skills and great attention to detail.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support our “Goal Zero” Safety Culture.
  • Perform safety related monitoring and reporting. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, including Stormwater and VOC monitoring.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings to share best practice techniques.
  • Conduct risk assessments and perform site inspections.
  • Lead Incident investigations and reporting
  • Initiate and organize safety training of employees and executives.
  • Supports all employees in safety related concerns.
  • Implement and review existing policies and update according to legislation.
  • Practice safe working techniques and support teamwork.
  • Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
  • Lead by example, be the “voice of safety”.
  • Conduct 6s Audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement change.
  • Support Continuous Improvement projects as necessary.

Competencies:

  • 1 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator
  • Experience in OSHA CFR 1926 is preferred.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge/Experience of Process Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Strong communication skills
