DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, DEMAND PLANNING

ABOUT THE POSITION AND OUR TEAM:
Director of Product Management for Forecasting, Demand Planning, and Sales and Operations Planning, your main responsibility would be to oversee the development and execution of product strategies that help our company stay competitive and meet the needs of our customers. Your focused product areas will be related to forecasting, demand planning, and S&OP (Sales and Operational Planning). Your role would involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as product development, data science, sales, and marketing to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with the company’s overall business goals. You will be our subject matter expert in these application areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducting market research and analyzing customer needs to identify opportunities for new product development or improvement of existing products.
  • Defining product requirements, user stories, and use cases, and working with the engineering team to ensure that products are built according to specifications.
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing, messaging, and positioning.
  • Analyzing product performance data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for product updates or modifications.
  • Ensuring that products meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing a team of product specialists and/or managers and providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Facilitate prioritization with Product Development, Sales and Marketing, aligned with our business strategic goals.
  • Communicate product roadmap to organization and customers.
  • Manage product rollout.
  • Manage the product launch and version documentation.
  • Working with Sales and Client Success on ARR and Client Retention.
  • Manage the product documentation necessary for marketing, sales, operations, and product releases.
  • Manage the pricing including strategy, documentation, and implementation with sales and finance.
  • Continually seek and self-educate yourself and other teammates through reading industry or client industry articles, attending TransImpact training classes, etc.
  • Job Responsibilities and any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and support our organization’s values may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 10-15 years of industry experience in product management or appropriate subject areas
  • 8-10 years of Forecasting, Demand Planning and/or S&OP experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI application preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

WORK AND TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
This is a full-time position and is hybrid in our Independence, Ohio location. Approximately 5-15% of travel will be required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
