Director of Internal Systems and Quality Assurance

LOCATION AND WORK:
This position is located at our Independence, Ohio location. The ability to work in our office, with a hybrid schedule is required.

ABOUT THE POSITION AND OUR TEAM:
As Director of Internal Systems, you will be a lead of the development and use of our core business applications and solutions. You'll work within our Information Technology team to help identify, select, design, build, interface, implement and document new solutions for our corporate systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Make our internal user departments raving fans by enhancing our internal solutions.
  • Select and implement solutions to automate processes for our internal department.
  • Design, build and support interfaces between our existing internal systems.
  • Contribute to the design and use of Business Intelligence technologies internally.
  • Analyze, design, implement and support data models, dashboards, and reports.
  • Provide documentation and training on features to our business decision makers.
  • Managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Staying informed about emerging technologies and recommending relevant updates.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks related to internal systems.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, ensuring that solutions meet the desired quality levels.
  • Leading and mentoring the QA team and being responsible for system administration tasks.
  • Be a team player; be open; be ready; be flexible.
  • Job responsibilities and any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and support our organization’s values.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 10 years experience in systems Development.
  • 5 in system administration.
  • Proficient in Project Management.
  • Experience with billing systems, commission systems and accounting systems are a plus.
  • Knowledge of our development process is a plus.
  • Knowledge of database and SQL Server and/or Azure SQL capabilities.
  • Ability to coordinate development efforts and use source control.
  • Desire and passion to stay up to date on relevant technologies.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinker.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Self-starter, independently driven.
