Transportation Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Branch Manager Near Cambridge, MA

The Branch Manager is under general supervision, but follows established policies and procedures, and provides a variety of managerial and leadership functions. Directs and coordinates operations of a medium sized, remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:
Branch Goals
  • Supports senior management in achieving the goals established in the business plan.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
Team Leadership
  • Directs, motivates, hires and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations on- time and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Provides consistent coaching to assist in staff development, plans and coordinates monthly staff training programs, and conducts monthly coaching and counseling sessions.
  • Maintains and develops a qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of members.
Branch Operations
  • Ensures the branch ATM uptime is consistently higher than 99%.
  • Assists the delinquency department in controlling past due and charged off accounts.
  • Develops, applies, and evaluates policies and procedures for the branch.
  • Monitors all branch activities and completes monthly audits to ensure the branch is in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
  • Promotes respect and harmonious relations among Branch staff and with departments throughout the organization.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Represents the branch in a positive manner to continue to build relationships with members, suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Develops and maintains business partner relationships with TFCU's sponsor organizations.
  • Ensures friendly, professional and accurate service and support is being provided to all members. Provides training and staff development for all direct reports to ensure that the branch staff is educating our members on products and services TFCU offers.
Regulations & Compliance
  • Ensures internal controls are in place and are being adhered to by the staff.
  • Stays knowledgeable of and complies with applicable laws and regulations, including BSA/AML and OFAC.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience
  • Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Interpersonal Skills
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
