Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Broker to join our team. As a Freight Broker, you will play a crucial role in managing the transportation of goods and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Generate leads and build relationships with shippers and carriers - Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and AS400 to track shipments and manage logistics - Coordinate and schedule transportation for shipments, ensuring timely delivery - Negotiate rates with carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions - Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for the transportation of perishable goods - Handle electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions for seamless communication between shippers, carriers, and customers - Collaborate with dispatchers to plan efficient routes for drivers - Manage contracts and maintain accurate documentation for all shipments Skills: - Strong knowledge of transportation planning and logistics operations - Proficiency in using AS400 and transportation management systems (TMS) - Familiarity with supply chain management principles - Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive rates with carriers - Understanding of FDA regulations for the transportation of perishable goods - Experience with electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions - Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams, customers, and carriers - Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or delays in shipments Join our dynamic team as a Freight Broker and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional logistics solutions. Pay: $40,000.00 - $71,304.00 per year
