Your Role

BOM Specialist & Work Preparator

Position summary

TransPak is a leading packaging solutions provider specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced packaging solutions for Semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

We are seeking a talented work preparator & BOM specialist to join our team in our global team from our location in Trumbull Connecticut.

In this role you will play a pivotal role in the efficient and effective manufacturing of packaging designs for ASML in our factory in Trumbull Connecticut with a woodworkshop, cleanroom bag conversion and cleanroom assembly capabilities.

You will report to the local general manager but will also receive support from our global team responsible for ASML work preparation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions

Manufacturing strategy : Develop and implement strategies for the manufacturing of ASML packaging designs.

Determine the most efficient and cost-effective methods for production. Evaluate and decide which components or activities should be outsourced and collaborate with sourcing to select appropriate vendors.

Document and log the manufacturing strategy in the company's ERP system as a manufacturing BOM.

CAD / CAM : Prepare files and programs for our CNC-router, ensuring precision and accuracy in the manufacturing process.

Collaborate with production teams to optimize CNC programming for manufacturing efficiency.

Utilize Solidworks software for modeling activities to support local customers with packaging designs.

ASML and Supply Chain Experience : Possess and develop a strong understanding of ASML packaging and cleanliness requirements.

Leverage knowledge to enhance packaging solutions and streamline the manufacturing and sourcing process. Collaborate with sourcing and vendors to grow a reliable supply chain.

Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless creation and execution manufacturing strategies.

Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to coordinate outsourced activities on a technical level.

What We’d Like to See from You

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging, or related field.
• Experience with Solidworks software.
• Prior experience in ASML packaging, tooling, or ASML supply chain.
• Prior experience with cleanroom cleaning and assembly.
• Proficient in CNC-router programming and file preparation.
• Demonstrate expertise in materials relevant to packaging, including plywood, lumber, foam, general construction plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Understand surface treatments applicable to materials used in ASML packaging
