Transglobal Services is Hiring an Account Manager - Oil and Gas /Utility Sector Near Houston, TX

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join our team in the oil and gas and utility sector. The Account Manager will manage and grow the client base, maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and create new business opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of the industry, communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts in the oil and gas and utility sector
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide regular reports on account status, including sales forecasts and revenue growth
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and build relationships
  • Travel to client sites as needed

Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular check-ins with key accounts to assess their satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.
  • Review the sales pipeline and identify potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, highlighting the value and benefits of our products/services.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop customized proposals and sales materials for clients.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to upper management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three-plus years of experience as an Account Manager in the oil and gas and utility sector
  • Proven track record of successfully managing key accounts and achieving sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas and utility industry, including market trends and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel as required

Work Environment

This job operates in an outside sales environment, with most travel being done daily, by vehicle. Long periods of sitting in a motor vehicle can be expected. This position is remote with an in-office option.

Physical Demands

Travel. The position requires lifting files and merchandise up to 15 lbs., opening filing cabinets, bending, and standing as necessary. Extensive driving is required for business-necessary travel.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This role requires extensive day and frequent overnight travel. Work will also necessitate non-traditional business hours to engage potential clients during after-hours and weekend networking events.
