Transformation Church is Hiring an Elementary Lead Near Fort Mill, SC

Elementary Lead- TC Kids Ministry

Reports To: Next Gen Director

Team: Next Gen

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Sunday-Thursday

Department: Next Gen

Role Summary: The Elementary Lead implements the TC Kids ministry vision by leading teams, and discipling servant leaders. They collaborate on curriculum, budgets, and events in alignment with Transformation Church’s Vision and Values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a TC team member, responsible for personal spiritual formation, growing as an Upward, Inward, Outward disciple of Jesus Christ. This will mainly be expressed through the Five Characteristics of a Transformer (worship, connect, serve, give, invite).
  • Responsible for protecting the Culture of TC and for living out the Five C’s—Character, Competency, Catalytic, Collaboration, and Chemistry.
  • TC’s Team leads oversee ministry areas ensuring work and priorities align within their team or department with TC’s Vision and Values.
  • Grow and Nurture relationships with Servant Leaders in the Next Gen Ministry.
  • Ensure all TC Kids-related initiatives adhere to procedures and timelines.
  • Develop and Monitor the TC Kids budget with the Director of Next Gen.
  • Train and Support Small Group Leaders and Servant Leaders for effective ministry implementation.
  • Engage with Kids during events and programs regularly.
  • Collaborate with the TC Kids Team to guide K-5th grade programming and activities.
  • Partner with families to support parenting strategies in alignment with the ministry's Vision and Values.
  • Other Duties: Will adapt to and fulfill additional assigned responsibilities as necessitated by the requirements of the role.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
  • TC Membership Requirement: TC staff members must become members of Transformation Church within a reasonable period.

  • Shepherding Heart: Exhibits a God-given calling to shepherd children, families, and servant leaders to lay the foundation of and nurture their Upward relationship with Christ, their understanding of their identity in Christ and how to love others compassionately.

  • Action-Oriented: Takes initiative to actively move tasks forward to completion. Initiates action as needed and displays optimism. Efficiently achieves goals with others, builds relationships, and seeks win/win solutions. Thrives in a team-focused environment.
  • Communication: Demonstrates relational skills and emotional intelligence to build trust. Exercises discretion and confidentiality. Communicates clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
  • Effective Interpersonal Skills: Fosters healthy interactions with children, parents and servant leaders through strong relationship building and coaching skills in a welcoming and supportive manner.

  • Reasoning Ability: Applies logical thinking to complex situations, effectively managing challenges with sound judgment.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Minimum of three years of experience in a ministry context preferred.
  • Computer/Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project management software. Experience using Asana and CCB/MyTC preferred.

Certificates and Licenses: CPR/AED Certification may be required (provided by Transformation Church).

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversight of Servant Leaders.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work environment is generally moderate, with varying lighting conditions and noise levels. Will require occasional lifting and physical movement. Specific vision and manual dexterity abilities are required. Reasonable accommodation can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
