Hiring Immediately for Utility Worker at ourGarden City, NY location. Hourly Rate$16.6738

The Utility worker must be able to perform basicvehicle and servicing duties. They must also be able to performdetail cleaning and fueling of equipment and cleaning the facilitywith limited supervision.

The Utility worker will be responsiblefor pulling the vaults and replacing them daily as the revenueunits return from service.

This position requires the ability towork all shifts including nights andweekends.

Responsibilities :

• Daily fueling of all vehicles as required.Documentation of all fluid transactions in logsheet.
• Daily pulling anddumping of fare box vaults.
• Daily cleaning of interior and exterior of allvehicles as required including sweeping and removal of graffiti anddebris from the interior to include floors, seats, walls, ceilings,windows, etc.

Removal of all refuse. Operate hand and powercleaning equipment, including vacuums and scrubbers. Daily check ofall vehicle tires for air pressure anddamage.

• Daily check of allunits brought through fuel island for body damage, proper workinglights.
• Responsible formoving or positioning a variety of equipment (requires YardPermit).
• Responsible for disinfecting and cleaning shopand facilities and other housekeeping duties including removal ofgarbage from receptacles .
• Will be responsible for completing requiredforms for entry into computer system.
• Other duties as assigned for the efficientoperation of the facility.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalentpreferred.
• Ability to followwritten and oral instructions
• Knowledge of shop safetystandards.
• Must be wellorganized.
• Must be able toread and write English.
• Must have New York State Drivers'License
• CDL with airbrakespreferred.
• Must beself-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediatesupervision.
• Must be able towork flexible hours or shifts.
• Ability to work as ateam.
• Must be PCliterate
