Transdev is Hiring a Diesel Technician (Emergency Vehicles) Near Leesburg, VA

As an Emergency Vehicle Installer your primary responsibilities are installing, repairing, testing, and removing 12-volt law enforcement vehicle equipment, including, but not limited light bars, flashers, sirens, video cameras, laptops, printers, consoles, transport partitions, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, and more. Dana Safety Supply will provide industry specific training for the right candidates.

For this position automotive or marine 12v experience is a plus.

Transdev Fleet Services works on police, public safety and other vehicles for both local and federal accounts.

The Installer must be able to perform physically demanding tasks that may require accessing confined spaces to modify the vehicles to the client’s requirements.

Operating Monday- Friday. Some weekend work may be applicable for large projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience is desired, but not required.
  • Knowledge of vehicle wiring
  • Able to identify electrical circuits.
  • Experience w/ installation of emergency lighting desired, but not required.
  • Able to communicate well with others.
  • Able to work on and see small objects.
  • Good hearing and color vision
  • Be prompt and prepared to work.
  • Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification is desired, but not required.

The expected pay range for this role is $25 to $40 with the eligibility to earn other types of compensation.
