This Machine Operator II position is on 2nd shift.

Hiring bonus of $500.00 payable after 90 days for new hires.

Wage starts at $20.99 plus $1.50 / hour shift differential

Essential Functions : Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and / or test raw materials, parts, components and / or assemblies.

Education :

Blueprint Reading

Precision Tools and Measuring

Certifications :

Forklift, if applicable

Quality Metric :

• Scrap Dollars
• Rejected and / or reworked parts

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.
• Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department.
• Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better.
• Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance

Introductory Level : Primary focus is learning the process

• Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)

• Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance : Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)
• Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and / or equipment with assistance.
• Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.
• Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
• Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).

Qualified Level : Primary focus is performing the essential duties of the position

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 18 months)

Demonstrate ability to set-up and run >

50% of operations in specific department with little or no assistance to include : Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)

• Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and / or equipment with little or no assistance.
• Demonstrate ability to do basic prototyping of parts with little or no assistance.
• Demonstrate the ability to calculate bend allowances and understand tooling radius.
• Demonstrate ability to perform preventive maintenance on related machinery and / or equipment.
• Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced without any assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
