Responsibilities/Duties

The Technical Documentation Specialist will provide support with creating, coordinating and processing technical documentation for Department of Defense (DoD) users. Candidate will coordinate with Managers, Task Leads, and customer personnel to ensure the correct and timely submission of required Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and other task specific required documentation.

Required Skills

• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience creating and updating technical documentation (e.g. Reports, Plans, Procedures, Financial Data)
  • Editing and reformatting written or electronic drafts. Examples include: adjusting spacing formatting and standardizing headings, margins, and indentations.
  • Work requires knowledge of specialized, technical, or scientific terminology and understanding requirements documents.
  • Corrects, copies and on occasion may inquire from originator of a document concerning missing information, improper formatting, or discrepancies.
  • Follows established practices.
• Motivated, organized, responsible self-starter with attention to detail who is able to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to track documentation and keep a database to track the different versions of reports that are created.
• Experience coordinating activities between several different groups of personnel to gather, review, assess, and follow-up on gathering and processing data, reports, and other documentation as required.

Preferred Skills

• Current DoD Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• 2 or more years of college education.
