Team Leader (Wood Doors)
Job Function:

Under direction of the Supervisor, the Team Lead will assist in leading the department with day to day operations while assisting the Supervisor in ensuring all employees work safely and follow safety procedures and policies. They will be expected to complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor while abiding by all policies described in the company Handbook.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Supervisor in leading the departmental safety program, including housekeeping disciplines and the investigation of all accidents and injuries.
• Responsible for leading the day to day operations.
• Ensure quality control processes are maintained and practiced, including quality check sheets, are followed daily.
• Maintain material flow ensuring uninterrupted production.
• Ensure production schedule is completed on time.
• Assist the Supervisors to train and develop all employees.
• Promote and maintain a team environment consistent with company values and principles.
• Display a willingness and availability to work irregular hours and overtime as needed.
• Communicate clearly and frequently your schedule status to downstream and upstream departments.
• Display a positive, “Can Do” attitude – be a change agent.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Standing for long periods of time
• Bending: Frequently
• Lifting: Medium/Heavy (50 lbs.)

Job Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong oral, written interpersonal communications skills.
• Proficient communication in English, Spanish a plus
• Good basic math and reading skills
• Strong coaching and training skills
• Self-direction and initiative.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable.
